The Way of St James
Navarre is the gateway into Spain for the Way of St James and, as such, more than a third of the pilgrims reaching Santiago started their adventure here. On foot, by bike, on horseback, pilgrims and tourists pass through a multi-coloured landscape, enjoying the friendliness of the local people and the cuisine of Navarre.
Over the centuries, the pilgrimages have also left their artistic mark here, with a wealth of monuments that are a must-visit for visitors to Navarre. One of the most important being the "Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María" (13th C) at Orreaga-Roncesvalles, just 5 kilometres from the Urrobi Campsite.
