Irati Forest
The Irati Forest lies just 20 kms from the Urrobi Campsite, between the Salazar, Aezkoa and Cize Valleys. This is the largest beech forest in Europe.
As the second largest forest in the continent, Irati is noted for the slenderness and great height of its beech trees.
Likewise, the native fauna are one of the attractions of the forest: deer, wild boar, roe deer, vultures and hawks are amongst its principal inhabitants.
